    Sutter Shines in Comprehensive Quality Survey by Institute for Medical Quality - June 9, 2008
    Remains the only health care provider in Solano County fully accredited by IMQ

    FAIRFIELD - The physician surveyors from the Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) recently released findings from an exhaustive review of patient care at Sutter Regional Medical Foundation (SRMF) and its affiliated medical group, Solano Regional Medical Group (SRMG). IMQ gave SRMF/SRMG a glowing report that will allow it to retain a three-year IMQ accreditation, a quality "seal of approval" coveted universally by medical groups.

    IMQ, headquartered out of San Francisco, Calif., is a nationally respected and renowned non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of care provided to patients across the continuum of health care. IMQ offers a wide range of educational, accreditation, consultation and certification programs.

    The exhaustive and thorough review process at SRMF/SRMG included touring care centers, interviewing staff, and reviewing policies, medical records, credential files and documentation of medication use. At the debrief meeting with SRMF senior management the IMQ physician surveyors noted that each interaction with SRMF/SRMG physicians and staff revealed a focused dedication to maintaining the highest level of service and quality for patients.

    "Throughout the onsite survey process it was evident that the experienced physician surveyors could not have been more pleased with what they found at SRMF/SRMG," says Ron Rushford, M.D., medical director for SRMF. "Both inspectors complimented our team on the dedication to service excellence, commitment to high quality care, and marveled at our beautiful patient care centers-even remarking that we're the "Rolls Royce' of medical organizations."
